Cats Rule

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. Running a little late this morning. I’ve been working all morning trying to put the finishing touches on two pet portraits in progress. Almost done with them.

So, since the new works are not yet complete, I thought I’d go back in the archives and find one from a while back. I also realized that I don’t give enough space to the cats. Dogs are still the most popular pet in the US, but cats art not far behind.

So here’s Ivy, a beautiful black cat with gorgeous yellow eyes. She is such a pretty girl, and the pose was cute in her fuzzy blanket. She comes across as quite the diva, which, since she’s a cat, is her rightful position.
