Nice to Paint Flowers

Good afternoon from my studio in East Nashville. Hope everyone is doing well. We had the first false fall last week. Now back to summer. We should have three or four more false falls before we finally get to the real cool weather. Looking forward to the leaves changing. Always a favorite time of the year.

No pets this week. I still have a couple of portraits waiting to be given to the recipients.

In the meantime, I did something just for me (though of course, it’s for sale): a floral still life. I used to do these all the time. Loved to get them to appear life-like. My favorite was magnolias, but I also really like orchids. So this one is “Orchids” (yes, I know not a very challenging name). It’s a 9×12. I’ll make a nice frame for it, so message me if interested.
