A Beautiful Baby

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. Another hot week in the offing. Hopefully, this pattern will break and we will have more temperate weather soon. I got to do something a little unusual last week: a baby. Babies can be challenging for a portrait, since they are more rounded and smooth than us old fogies with wrinkles, scars, etc. Still, this beautiful young lady was so cute it was relatively easy to get her portrait right. This is a present for the mother, and I hope she is happy with the painting when she gets it. As always, thanks for looking; enjoy; and stay safe and well.
