The Winter of Our Discontent
Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. I hope you’re having a fine week so far, and that it continues to be a fine week. I, for one, am already tired of winter. Unfortunately, we have a few more months to go before the air turns and the world starts to green up. Let’s hang in there.
Here’s another Christmas commission I did for a client. This is Vandy, who I understand was a wonderful companion. I was honored to be able to do her portrait for her people. While it may strike some as odd, I get emotionally attached to my subjects, even though I never got to meet them. Something about the process, I suppose.
In any event, hope you enjoy the painting. Thanks for looking, stay safe and well.
