Some Things Are Black and White

Good afternoon from my studio in East Nashville. Hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been very busy the first part of the week and am just now able to do a post for you. Good to be busy: it keeps me off the streets. Now I have a few moments to post something.

This is the first of the new portraits I’ve been working on. This is Sonny. The reference photo was in black and white, so the painting is as well. I have to say I am so happy with the black and white look. Maybe I should do more black and whites. I can always turn a color reference photo into b&w. Let me know what you think. There is another b&w portrait to come. That one has a long and interesting story, which I’ll share next week.

Thanks for looking. Let me know if I can create something for you. Thanks.
