Out on the Boat

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. Hope every one is well and safe. We are officially in fall; soon it will be cool and pleasant, before we have our false summer heat wave again. I have sympathy for the meteorologists in Nashville; so hard to predict what the weather will do next.

Today’s portrait is of Rocky. This is one where the setting and background are important. As you can see, Rocky was a mariner, and loved being out on the boat with his personal life vest. Normally, I prefer a headshot portrait with a portrait background, but sometimes the setting is so important to the client that I include it. Hopefully, this painting will foster happy thoughts for years to come.

Time is coming up on the holidays; I know, we always think we have more time than we do and suddenly, it’s late. So get your orders for Christmas gifts in soon.

Thanks for looking, and be well.
