Historic House Portrait

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. I hope everyone is safe and well.

I had a request last week for a house portrait of a lovely home in Germantown. The house is currently the office of Saev Immigration Law, a group of wonderful attorneys doing good work to help people. The house, though, is also known as the Mary Catherine Strobel House. For those of you who don’t know, the Strobel family has been active in Nashville for many decades. Mrs. Stroebel’s son, Charles, founded Room at the Inn, and has worked tirelessly for many, many years to help the less fortunate in Nashville.

The good lawyers wanted a portrait of the house to give to Mr. Strobel, and I was honored to paint it for them. I hope it gives joy to Mr. Strobel; I know he has given the chance for joy to thousands.

Thanks for looking, stay safe and well.
