Another Cold Winter Day

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. Once again, the Nashville weather is about to strike. I was able to get out on my bicycle for a nice ride in sunshine Saturday afternoon, and now we are supposed to get an ice storm tonight. I suppose the good news is the weather here is never boring.

Here’s a new portrait of a beautiful White German Shepherd. As I found out sometime back, this is a recognized breed of German Shepherds, distinct from the brown and black ones we normally see. They are beautiful dogs, and I’ve been fortunate enough to meet one.

This is Sasha, and this is also sadly a memorial. As always, I’m so honored to be able to do a memorial portrait, and at the same time so saddened that it is a memorial. I only hope in brings her person some comfort over time.
