A Different Background

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. It’s a sunny morning, and I hope it’s sunny and bright in your world, wherever that may be. Of course, since it’s Nashville, you never know what the weather will be like in the next 20 minutes.

Here’s today’s painting. This is Bella, and this portrait is a little unusual due to the setting of the reference photo. Bella was partially wrapped up in her red blanket, so I had to use that background instead of my normal portrait backgrounds. I had some issues getting it to look somewhat right, and hope that I did.
