Hot, Hot, Hot

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. I hope everyone is staying safe in this horrible heat wave. I’m a Nashville native, and this feels like the hottest, most humid summer ever. Of course, it will break eventually.

The current economic uncertainty has been difficult for the art world. The gallery that represented me has closed due to lack of sales. Candidly, I’ve had the worst quarter since I started the art business. As a consequence, I’m offering a 10% discount on commission pieces from now through August 31. If you order through my website, it will charge full price, but I will rebate the discount on completion of the artwork. Go to www.johncannonfineart.com to order.

In the meantime, here’s Eloise. This was a memorial portrait, and a birthday gift for her person. As usual, I regret they are memorials, but am so honored to be able to capture their beloved pet.

Thanks for looking. Stay safe in the heat.
