Fall Is Here

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. I hope everyone is doing well as we approach a real sense of a fall season. Driving north over the weekend, it was clear almost all the leaves are already down, and that we did not have a pretty leaf season again this year. I always enjoy all the color in the fall leaves; alas, not this year.

Here’s Ozzy. This guy is stunningly pretty, and so soulful. I was lucky to have a very clear reference photo, so I was able to get a lot of detail into the portrait. Always love it when that happens.

A reminder that Thanksgiving is next week, and that will be the cutoff to accept commissions for Christmas portraits. These paintings make a Christmas present that will be loved forever.
