Back in the Saddle Again

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. You may have noticed I haven’t posted in a while. It’s been a strange month or so for me. First, we began a kitchen renovation. I think that action should be high on the list of most stressful things. Trying to live out of an Instant Pot and a two burner hot plate is not easy. Second, that whole process went a week longer than it should have due to me finally getting Covid after dodging it for three and a half years. Then there was a long planned vacation for a bike tour in Florida. So, lots going on.

I’m happy to say the Covid is long over, the kitchen is finally finished, and the trip to Florida was great. I biked 171 miles over the course of the week, and had some of the best food ever.

So now I’m back home, back to cooking, and back to work. I have 16 commissions to do before Christmas, so I’m going to be very busy indeed. My cut off for Christmas paintings is Thanksgiving, which is next week. So if you are interested in a painting, now is the time to make an order.

In the meantime, here is Georgie, a piece I did a couple of months ago, but have not been able to post because it was to be a surprise birthday gift. I’m happy to say the gift was given, tears flowed, and Georgie’s’ person was very happy with the painting.

Thanks for visiting. Stay safe and well.
