Another False Spring

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. We have another false spring day today. This is one of Nashville’s 18 seasons. I’m a Nashville native, so I’m familiar with this roller coaster weather, but I’ve never gotten used to it.

Here’s another of the Christmas commission set. This is Barney, a really cute little guy with his sweater and name tag. I like putting on something that the guys wear; it seems to make them really personal. I find doing the lettering challenging ( you should see my handwriting) and that usually involves a couple of attempts. Still, it really personalizes the portrait.
