Who’s A Good Boy?

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. You may have noticed that I have not posted in a few weeks. It’s a long story but I’ll try to make it short.

I had planned to take a couple of weeks off to catch up on a few things and get some portraits to completion. What I did not count on was my storage barn/workshop behind my house being struck by lightening during that fierce storm on August 12. The surge burned out all the lights in the barn; my string lights outside; the transformer on the HVAC unit upstairs; my large tv; and the internet card on my computer. So I spent the next week getting everything repaired (HVAC first because it was hot; but you knew that). I did not even try to use the computer until the following Thursday, when I discovered the problem with it. I took it to the good folks at Capitol City Computers here in East Nashville, who did repair it but I did not have it back in time for last Tuesday’s post. So here I am, repaired and ready to go. I’m just so grateful there was no fire.

Now that my sad story is done, here’s Blaise, one cute laid back pup. I understand he is named after Blaise Pascal, so his heart must have reasons that reason cannot know. Sorry, I minored in philosophy in college. Anyway, he turned out well.

Thanks for looking. Hopefully, there will be no more lightening strikes or the equivalent in my future, and I can get back on schedule. Thanks and stay safe.
