Out of the Snow

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. Looks like we survived the “snowpocolyse” of 2024. It’s been a long time since we had a snow and ice event like that, and I, for one, will be happy if it’s a long time before another one.

Here’s Ava. This was actually a post-Christmas birthday present I did for a client from Cookeville. I’m given to understand Ava is one of those once in a lifetime companions for his wife, and he wanted to gift her with a portrait. I fear this photo really does not do the painting justice; it looked a lot better in real life. In any event, they were happy with it, so that’s all good.

Hope you stay dry during this coming week. Winter will be over before we know it, so hang in there. Thanks for looking.
