New Works Coming
Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. I hope everyone is well this morning. I’m finally starting to get work done and out the door to my clients. That, frankly, makes me very happy. So over the next few weeks I’ll be able to post new work for you consideration.
This is Mogbi, a very cute guy I painted for a long time client of mine. It is a gift, as a memorial portrait. This piece is a little unusual because Mogbi had a favorite toy and he played with all the time: a rubber chicken. My client wanted the rubber chicken in the painting, so I added it and made it look like it was on the floor next to him. I think it worked out okay. I told my client I never thought I would be painting a rubber chicken, but there you go. I also think I captured his adorable face well. My client was happy.
It’s now November 12. Thanksgiving is just over a couple of weeks away. My cutoff for Christmas portraits is Thanksgiving, so if you are thinking about a portrait as a Christmas gift, please let me know as soon as possible. I enjoy doing Christmas presents very much, and I want to be sure to have adequate time to do a good portrait.
Thanks, hope you have a great day.
