It’s A Dreary Day

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. Hope everyone is well. This time of the year I always think of Melville’s great line in the beginning of “Moby Dick”: “It is a damp, drizzly November in my soul.” Many people get SAD ( seasonal affective disorder) this time of the year. I hope that doesn’t happen to you.

I’m working diligently to get my commission portraits finished by Christmas. I’d love to show you some of them, but I can’t, since that might ruin the surprise. So here’s a beautiful pup from the past to, hopefully, cheer you up in the dreary.

As a reminder, Thanksgiving is two days away, and that is the deadline for me to promise a completed piece by Christmas. Of course, I’ll accept commissions after Thanksgiving, but I can’t guarantee the painting will be done by then. So, if you want a unique Christmas present, order in the next two days, You can order at www.johncannonfineart.com.

Thanks, and have a great Thanksgiving!
