Good Morning

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day holiday. The first recorded Labor Day celebration was in 1882 in New York City. President Grover Cleveland made it an official federal holiday in 1894. Ironically, Cleveland made it a national holiday after twelve strikers were killed when he sent the military to crush the Pullman railroad strike. The labor movement gave us the eight hour workday and the forty hour work week, changing what had been twelve hour days and sixty hour weeks. I think the vast majority of us appreciate those changes.

Enough history. I’m working on two projects right now; neither are completed. So here’s one a did some time back. This is Gracie, and while all my pups are special to me, I think this one turned out really well.

Hope you enjoy the portrait. Thanks for looking and let me know if I can create something for you.
