A Tribute To Friends

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. It’s a good looking day, though this is False Spring #4 (or #5; I’ve lost count.) In any event, I hope you are having a great day and enjoying whatever the day brings you.

Here’s Marley. This portrait was for a friend and neighbor here in the East. Sadly, it’s a memorial. I occasionally ponder the essential injustice of having a creature who loves you unconditionally, but leaves too soon. Maybe the lesson is for us to learn to love unconditionally as well, knowing that there is a time limit. Of course, that love never leaves our hearts until our hearts can take no more.

Apologies. I guess I’m feeling philosophical this morning. While it is good to ponder the mysteries of our existence now and then, it’s also very important just to have fun in the moment.

Hope you enjoy the painting. Thanks for looking. If you need artwork, don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a good day.
