The Holidays Are Upon Us
Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. I hope everyone is having a great day. I’m busy working on my Christmas portraits. I’m making good progress on them. And, I’m trying to make time for myself to walk, ride my bike, or go to the Y and not neglect my health. I’ve been known to exhaust myself during this time of the year, which in many ways is my equivalent to tax day for an accountant. While the physical act of painting is not the same as digging a ditch, it is very mentally challenging. I’ve vowed to avoid the burnout problem this year, and so far, it’s working.
Thanksgiving is a week from Thursday. That’s the cutoff date for Christmas commissions. I will accept commissions after that date, but cannot promise completion by Christmas. My painting process involves many thin layers of paint, which takes quite a bit of time. So I encourage you to go ahead and order now. You can order at my website www.johncannonfineart.com or contact me here on Facebook.
Here’s Baby, a beautiful pup I painted some time ago. I’d love to do a portrait for you, and post it one day here.
Thanks for looking. Have a great week.
