Thawing Out

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. I hope everyone survived the ice storm without much trouble. I also hope that those still without power get their service restored soon. I’m waiting for the tree company to come cut up all the broken branches in my backyard. Quite a few came down, but fortunately, no damage to any structures.

Here’s Kobe, another Christmas commission portrait. A very beautiful pup, for sure. I spent a good bit of time trying to get him just right, and my client was pleased, so that’s all good. When she came to get him, she remarked how much better the painting looked in real life as compared to the photo. That’s something I wish I could convey to you, but, or course, all I can post here is the photograph.

I’m open for commissions. Let me know if I can paint a portrait for you. Then you can see just how much better they look in real life.

Thanks for looking. Stay safe.
