Almost Done

Good morning from my studio in East Nashville. Hope everyone is well after this nasty cold snap went through. And I hope the Christmas season has not stressed you out. I’m down to just finish a project that’s about 75% done, and I’ll have my Christmas commissions finished. It’s been a good year; my sincere thanks to all who have allowed me to create something for them. It’s an honor and a privilege to help people through art.

Here’s a portrait I just completed for an old friend and collector. This is Cooper, and he is about as cool a dude as you can get. The pose they sent me to work from was just so perfect. Of course, I modified the background to eliminate a fence.. Now it’s just Cooper and the sky above. I had so much fun painting him.
