A Memorial Portrait

A change of pace this morning. I got the somewhat rare chance here in my East Nashville studio to do a human portrait. Unfortunately, this is a memorial portrait for a young man who passed away. A group of friends and co-workers got together and commissioned the portrait to give to the grieving father on Fathers Day. I was honored to do the painting. I am told that the present was given last Sunday, and that the father loved the painting. I truly hope the portrait provides a bit of joy in a very sad situation. Thank you for looking, take care.
