A New House Portrait

Well, as Robert Burns wrote, “The best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray.” My surgery has been postponed two more weeks due to scheduling issues (not mine!). So I’m still trying to get some work done with a very limited time frame. I’m still working; it’s just taking me much longer than usual to get a piece finished. Here’s a house portrait I did for a client and finished a couple of days ago. This is a great way to keep the memory of a beloved home place for ever. I enjoy doing these to bring happy memories to the people who lived in the home. They require a completely different set of techniques to get them accurate and realistic, but it is a good change of pace from doing the pet portraits. Big thanks to my clients, and big thanks to you for looking. I hope you enjoy, and stay safe and well.
